CODAN Medical ApS is a manufacturer of single use syringes and one of the expanding and internationally oriented CODAN Companies, which currently have more than 1500 employees, of whom 200 work in Rødbyhavn. The CODAN Companies have many years of experience in the production, marketing and sales of internationally acclaimed disposable medical devices, and produce to EN ISO 13485 certification.
The job:
As a plastics engineer, you will be responsible for managing and/or taking part in technical projects within the injection moulding production process across the entire organisation of CODAN Medical ApS. You will also be involved in managing the projects concerning design and construction of injection moulding tools. This takes place in compliance with current guidelines according to our quality management system and official regulations.
In addition, your tasks will also include:
• Completion of tasks relating to projects, in order to continuously improve product quality
• Presentation of proposals and completion of tasks in conjunction with optimisation and savings projects across the organisation
• Guidance and exchange of experience within workshops in conjunction with the purchasing of spare parts
• Continuous monitoring of the condition of forms in collaboration with the form workshop, decision making concerning renovation or new investments
• Validation of moulding tools in collaboration with production
• Close collaboration with CODAN in Lensahn, Germany, as well as other suppliers concerning projects and general operation
Your professional qualifications:
A degree as a plastics engineer, mechanical engineer or similar. Alternatively, training as a toolmaker, plastics engineer or plastics maker, with experience of technical drawings and documentation, injection moulding forms, plastic production and technical project work.
Personal qualifications:
• High team player values
• Capable of making decisions and a good communicator
• Clear structural thinking and organisational talent
• Good command of English in speaking and writing, knowledge of German is an advantage
