For our Equipment Development department, we are looking for a Platform Manager who will be responsible for ensuring on-time delivery on all projects related to a specific wind turbine platform and alignment with all relevant stakeholders in the Siemens Wind Power organisation. Equipment Development is an internal service provider which is responsible for the development of all equipment required for transporting, installing and servicing wind turbines worldwide. The department is involved through the full value chain, in designing new outbound equipment for the complete Siemens Wind Power turbine portfolio. What are my responsibilities? • Manage the equipment project portfolio related to a specific wind turbine platform • Responsible for budgets on current projects, and to deliver input for forecasts • Ensure full equipment ”roadmap” in the lifecycle for the platform together with the Lead Engineer • Report to management on all development activities, and ensure necessary actions a being taken • Manage and communicate the status of program and key projects together with the senior management team and project owners • Work cross-functionally to ensure smooth and fast implementation of new developments • Contributing to the further development of product development process in Equipment Development • Identify and drive strategic initiatives within the platform from an Equipment Development perspective • Ensure best practice is evaluated for new concepts What do I need to qualify for this job? • We expect you to have 5-10 years of project management experience from an international R&D environment • You have strong analytical skills with a broad horizon and a holistic mindset • You are a competent team player with demonstrated influencing skills and you naturally create a strong and broad network cross boarders in a global organization • As a person you are innovative, proactive, persistent and have a structured approach towards your tasks • You have a strong desire to work in a challenging and technically demanding work environment • You thrive in a multicultural environment and possess excellent communication and English skills, both orally and in writing In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
