The Portfolio Team plays an important role in providing leadership with insightful analysis and advice on prioritizing its current as well as its aspired future portfolio. We Offer You will be part of a team of 3 and work closely with planners, economists as well as senior business colleagues (e.g. Asset Managers, Managing Directors, Heads of Finance & Business Services) around the globe. The team is responsible for mid-term and long term planning and regular global portfolio analysis. You will perform an active role in developing deep views on MOG’s existing and future portfolio – with a sharp eye on changes in the external environment that may impact our views. This is a unique position to establish a deep understanding of the key economic drivers of an oil & gas company across the entire project lifecycle. You and your 2 colleagues report into the Head of Planning, Performance & Economics. You will be part of a team of ~18 staff in Copenhagen covering economics, portfolio management, board reporting and performance. The Portfolio team works closely with the rest of this team as well as with other parts of the organization (esp. Finance and Strategy) as well as with stakeholders in APMM The position will give you significant insight into Maersk Oil globally and the opportunity to impact the business direction of the company. You will be working in close cooperation with multiple stakeholders across the entire organization and the position will provide a strong network and foothold for a future career within Maersk Oil. Key Responsibilities • Portfolio analysis and advice: financial analysis of the business portfolio; providing Executive Management with options and scenarios based on the business strategy for value-driven portfolio optimization. • Financial planning: leading/coordinating the Business Outlook, Long Finance and Capital Allocation processes for Maersk Oil. This requires a solid understanding of economic drivers in the oil & gas industry as well as on how to translate these into long term financial plans (P&L and BS). • Contributing to the strategic thinking and business planning process: you will be assessing financial implications of strategic initiatives and provide high quality information as a basis for key business decisions. Who we are looking for We expect you to have a Master Degree in Finance or Economics with min. 3-5 years working experience preferably within the upstream oil and gas industry and/or a proven track record in financial planning and/or economics. You have a strong analytical mindset (financial/economic modelling). Due to the strategic nature of the activities, this role will require broad influencing capabilities across the various corporate functions in Copenhagen (Growth, Project Maturation Process, Operations and Finance – incl. Strategy), with the leaders of all Business Units as well as with the A. P.
