Copenhagen / Local / Commercial-Sales-Business Development / Ref.: MO-090176 Maersk Oil is looking for a dedicated portfolio innovation manager to join its Corporate Technology and Innovation department (CTI), at its head office in Copenhagen. CTI is responsible for the management and health of Maersk Oil’s global portfolio of technology development and innovation activities. This includes supervision of Maersk Oil’s ideation process and dedicated project management associated with the maturation of ideas and concepts into concrete development activities and innovations. CTI in addition, undertakes technology and trend scouting, advises on new technology applications and supports and facilitates technology deployment across the company’s operations. CTI works closely with Maersk Oil’s business units and research centres to ensure an appropriate project portfolio able to deliver results in accordance with the technology strategy and goals of the company. We Offer This role as portfolio innovation manager will give you a unique opportunity to be exposed to a diverse, integrated team, working with dedication and passion to develop and manage Maersk Oil’s portfolio of technology development and innovation projects. Working in Maersk Oil’s Corporate Technology and Innovation department will put you directly in the centre of excellence in terms of influencing new ideas and procedures for future optimization of our oil production from both mature and complex fields. You will have an extensive interaction with business units, technical capability centres and research centres within Maersk Oil and hence you can build on your network and be intensively involved in driving the technology in an interesting and complex engineering and geoscience industry. Key Responsibilities • Global management of the Maersk Oil portfolio of innovation and technology development projects, and responsible for the portfolio project database, health analyses, project progress tracking and identification of systemic development challenges and bottlenecks • Management of Maersk Oil’s ideation process, which covers the spectrum from idea stimulation, over filtering and prioritisation, to the maturation and formulation of concrete development or research projects. The role entails dedicated project management in the early stages of project life • Contribute to the continuous optimisation of Maersk Oil’s innovation and technology maturation processes through portfolio analyses and direct engagement with business units, research centres and capability centres • Management of Maersk Oil’s portfolio of external technical publications and the associated incentive systems. This also includes continuous health evaluation and recommendation for improvements • Design and facilitate workshops, meetings and conferences on technology and innovation, hosted by either CTI or the business units. Establish and maintain a CTI facilitation toolbox. Who we are looking for You hold a MSc from a relevant technical, engineering, innovation or similar education and have already gathered similar experience from a preferably larger international company working with innovation or R&D. Furthermore: • You have experience with and a good understanding of innovation/project portfolio management and portfolio analyses • You have insights via practical and educational experience with innovation and ideation processes, including a general understanding of innovation and technology maturation processes • You have former industrial experience with technology development and research activities • Past experience in process design and implementation • Good understanding of change processes and able to work and contribute effectively in complex organisational settings with multiple stakeholders • Experience in facilitation of meetings and workshops • Outspoken and dedicated team player with strong collaboration capabilities and the ability to influence
