A post-doctoral position is available in the Section for Cognitive Systems at DTU Compute, the Department for Applied Mathematics and Computer Science at DTU, starting July 15, 2015, or as soon as possible thereafter and ending December 31, 2016. Responsibilities and tasks Innovative audio services require research in cognitive models and systems that process audio, context as well as users’ mental state, interaction, intention, and goals. A key feature is ubiquitous large-scale and real-time learning from both audio, user and interaction data. The postdoc position will focus on research related to music services that enable new cognitive features for navigating large music archives. The research will be carried out at the Technical University of Denmark with partners of the strategic research project CoSound - A Cognitive Systems Approach to Enriched and Actionable Information from Audio Streams. The postdoc will contribute to further developing the CoSound processing platform, which is a shared tool of the CoSound project. Qualifications Candidates should have a PhD degree or equivalent. Preference will be given to candidates that have a documented research experience in machine learning and modelling cognitive aspects of audio, e.g. music. Analytical skills and interests in experimental work are necessary. Furthermore, the postdoc should have the ability to work both independently and as a team-player, must master the English language with proficiency.
