At the Department of Electrical Engineering we have a vacant experimental 2-year Postdoc position or a 3-year PhD scholarship advanced head segmentation approaches based on structural magnetic resonance images (MRI) and computer tomography (CT). Responsibilities and tasks We seek a highly motivated candidate to work on advanced head segmentation approaches based on structural magnetic resonance images (MRI) and computer tomography (CT). The position is open for both PhD candidates (3-year period) or PostDocs (2-year period). The vacant position will become a central part of the collaboration between the Biomedical Engineering group at DTU Electrical Engineering, the Danish Research Center for Magnetic Resonance at Hvidovre Hospital and DTU Compute on the implementation of highly accurate head models for realistic calculations of the current flow in EEG, MEG and brain stimulation methods. As such, the successful candidate will interact closely with scientists working on forward models for M/EEG and brain stimulation and on medical image analysis. The successful candidate must be highly motivated, have the ability to structure efficiently his or her own work, and be willing to contribute to the team. Qualifications Candidates for a PostDoc position should have academic qualifications equivalent to the PhD level. Candidates for a PhD scholarship should have a MSc in engineering or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to the MSc in engineering. For PhD candidates: Approval and enrolment PhD scholarships are subject to academic approval, and you will be enrolled in one of DTU’s general PhD programs.
