We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral scientist to join our newly established and highly international research center - The Novo Nordisk Foundation for Biosustainability, Technical University of Denmark, and become part of the New Bioactive Compounds section headed by Prof. Sang Yup Lee. Responsibilities and tasks The successful candidate will be working on projects concerning the development of bioinformatics software and databases for the identification, analysis and optimization of secondary metabolite biosynthesis in microorganisms. Qualifications •PhD in bioinformatics or computer sciences •Candidates with extensive knowledge of secondary metabolite biosynthesis, actinomycete biology and metabolic engineering will be preferred •Documented experience with large international collaborative software projects •Experience in designing and implementing large distributed software systems •Excellent programming skills, preferably in Python •Knowledge of software testing frameworks •Knowledge of Web-technologies We offer We offer an interesting and challenging job in an international environment focusing on education, research, public-sector consultancy and innovation, which contribute to enhancing the economy and improving social welfare.
