We are seeking several highly motivated postdoctoral scientists to join our newly established and highly international research center - The Novo Nordisk Foundation for Biosustainability (DTU Biosustain) at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). Become a part of the New Bioactive Compounds section headed by Prof. Sang Yup Lee. Responsibilities and tasks The successful candidates will be working on projects concerning metabolic engineering of actinomycete antibiotics producers. The work will include topics on laboratory automation, development, implementation and application of high throughput metabolic engineering tools for actinomycetes, and the identification and characterization of novel secondary metabolite biosynthesis pathways. Qualifications Masters Degree and PhD in relevant field. We are looking for highly motivated individuals with PhD degrees in Microbiology, metabolic engineering or related discipline. Candidates with extensive knowledge of secondary metabolite biosynthesis, actinomycete biology, yeast based cloning strategies and metabolic engineering will be preferred. Salary and terms of employment The appointments will be based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations (AC).
