Industrialization > Test & Validation > Electromechanical V&R Electro-Mechanical Validation & Reliability is a part of Technology & Service Solutions in Vestas Wind Systems A/S. Our responsibility is to validate the design of electrical and mechanical systems and components used in Vestas' wind turbines. We service the whole Vestas organization with our specialized knowledge and extensive capabilities within Power conversion, vibration, climatic, corrosion, HALT and EMC testing. The department consists of nine skilled and ambitious test technicians and engineers and is located at the Vestas headquarters in Aarhus. Our activities continuously improve the performance and reliability of our turbines, and enable them to produce more clean energy with fewer service intervals, thus creating more value for our customers. Responsibilities In this position, you will be involved in both new development projects and continuous improvement projects within the area of Power Conversion. You will be (or become) our expert within the different test capabilities and have the responsibility for the daily activities in our Power Laboratory. Your technical knowledge will ensure the quality of our validation activities and you will establish, develop and maintain contacts across Vestas. You are capable of handling several projects at once and in different phases. Specifically, your tasks will comprise of: Manage test finalization in the Power Laboratory securing a timely execution and high quality. Creating verification procedures in cooperation with design engineers and test technicians. Specifying and establishing new test capabilities. Analysing test results and propose design changes and improvements. Ensure the highest availability of the test facilities through preventive maintenance. Responsible for the Electrical Safety coordination in the laboratories Qualifications You hold a degree within electrical engineering or marine engineering and preferably with an interest within Power Conversion. Alternative you are a skilled electrician with minimum 5 years of relevant experience. Additional qualifications include: Experience in reading and understanding electrical drawings. Experience in specification of data acquisition systems and setup. Experiences in creating reports, technical presentation and reviewing technical documents. You are analytical and know how to manage complex data and pass on the necessary information. You have excellent communications skills and are fluent in English, written and verbally. Competencies You are a team player, open minded, self-driven and capable of teaching others. You possess excellent people skills and are experienced in managing of stakeholders ensuring excellent cooperation across a dynamic organization.
