For our Electrical unit within the Service Technology Engineering department we are looking for a new colleague who can further improve the back-office support on converter related issues.In the Electrical unit we are responsible for all the electrical components in the installed turbines. Our main activities are: technical support, root cause analysis, design of new solutions and cost out initiatives.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Perform support to converter related issues coming in from the installed fleet

  • Conduct and document root cause analysis on complex failure modes

  • Perform hardware design changes in cooperation with component suppliers

  • Validation of software and hardware updates before role out

  • Continuously improve the operation and reliability of the converter

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • An education within the electrical field like electrical engineer, marine engineer or electrical technician

  • Experience with operation, trouble shooting and service of full scale converters

  • Wind turbine knowledge

  • Language skills in English both in speaking and writing

  • Being able to travel to sites and inspect components in turbines (approximately 20 days per year)

  • As a person you are a good team player, proactive and self-driven

  • Enjoy working in a large international organization
