This position arises in Valby International Preschool in Copenhagen, Denmark for experienced and enthusiastic Kindergarten/ Preschool teachers. It is essential that you are a natural team player, a proactive person who takes responsibility and ownership of the tasks of the institute and you are flexible when it comes to responsibilities and tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Pædagog /Early Childhood Teacher in implementation of activities and lessons within overall Highscope framework

• Ensure the learning environment is clean, hygienic and safe on continuous basis

• Assist in preparation of meals, when necessary

• Planning and implementing outdoor and extra-curricular activities and events

• Assist in observation and recording children’s growth, development and behaviour

• Build good, open and constructive communication with children, families, administration and staff

• Administrative tasks for internal and external communications as and when required

Language and experience requirements:

o Native -level/ very high level fluency in English is mandatorily required. Fluency is Danish preferred.

o Minimum 2-3 year’s working experience in Preschool/ Kindergarten or in Primary School (early years) is mandatory. Experience in teaching phonics to children will be advantageous

o Proven experience in handling class activities independently

o Proficiency in any extra-curricular activities (e.g. music, dance, yoga, creative art) is required; experience in teaching yoga to children is preferable

o IT literacy

Other Requirements:

o Creative and truly passionate to work with children while being extremely patient and caring

o Sound written and verbal communication skills

o Great team player while can also work independently

o Person who is culturally sensitive and thrives in truly international environment

o Enthusiastic and flexible to share tasks typical for a small but growing organisation

o Work-permit or right to work in Denmark as we can not provide work-visa
