- Research & Development - Denmark - Måløv This position offers a possibility to work with protein separation technology and analysis method development in a group of dedicated scientists within the peptide and protein biopharmaceutical research area. About the department Novo Nordisk Global Research is committed to the development of new pharmaceutical peptides and proteins to improve quality of life and treatment for patients. The Analysis and Characterisation Technology area is part of the Protein Engineering function, involved in the discovery of therapeutic proteins for treatment of diabetes, obesity, haemophilia and growth disorders, up to first human dose. We are now looking for a dynamic and highly innovative individual that can contribute with skills within peptide/protein separation science in order to strengthen our competencies within protein and peptide analysis. It is our ambition to continuously provide the best technical solutions to the Global Research project pipeline. The position You will contribute with expertise in separation science to multidisciplinary project teams in early stage discovery projects covering a broad range of analytes from small peptides to large proteins. You will be involved in projects focussing on either subcutaneous or oral administration of biopharmaceuticals, which involve some truly exciting challenges with regard to analysis method development. Furthermore, you will be responsible for transfer of analysis methods to different parts of our organisation and for driving the development of our competencies within separation technologies to meet future demands. Your daily work will involve extensive collaboration with colleagues in the team as well as across the organisation. It will also involve interaction with colleagues with expertise in other scientific disciplines. Qualifications You hold a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry, protein chemistry, or a related discipline, possibly with additional postdoctoral training within the above mentioned disciplines. You have several years of experience with chromatographic and/or electrophoretic analytical separation techniques, either from academic research or from R&D settings in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry. Ideally, you have an excellent track record of original research within analytical separation of proteins, peptides, or small molecules. Experience in chemometric tools and chromatographic modelling, as well as patent generation is considered an advantage. Finally, since all work takes place in multidisciplinary project groups, excellent collaboration and communication/presentation skills are essential.
