This position offers a possibility to work with method development and analytical separation technology in a group of dedicated scientists within the peptide and protein biopharmaceutical research area About the department Novo Nordisk Global Research is committed to the development of new pharmaceutical peptides and proteins to improve quality of life and treatment for patients. The Department of Protein Science is part of the Protein Engineering function area, involved in the discovery of human therapeutic proteins for treatment of diabetes and obesity in the early project phase to first human dose. Our department is organized in three teams working with various aspects of protein science with focus on techniques such as protein expression, purification, characterization, analysis development, as well as protein stability and design. The analysis development team is looking for a dynamic and highly innovative individual to strengthen our competence in analytical method development and peptide/protein separation technologies. It is our ambition to continuously provide the best technical solutions to our project pipeline. The job You will participate in multidisciplinary project teams and will contribute with expertise in peptide analysis development to several early stage projects. Furthermore, you will be responsible for transfer of analysis methods to development departments and for driving the development of our competencies within new peptide and protein separation technologies to meet future demands. Your daily work will involve extensive collaboration with colleagues in the department as well as across the organisation. It will also involve communication with colleagues with expertise in other scientific disciplines. Qualifications You typically hold a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry, protein chemistry, or a related discipline, possibly with additional postdoctoral training within the above mentioned disciplines. You have extensive experience of analytical separation techniques such as RPC, IEC, SEC, HIC, and ideally you have an excellent track record of original research within analytical separation of proteins and peptides. Experience in chemometric tools and chromatographic modelling, as well as from biotech/pharmaceutical R&D and patent generation is considered an advantage. Finally, since all work takes place in multidisciplinary project groups, excellent interaction and communication/presentation skills are essential.
