Join us for a chance to work in depth with demand planning processes – where the business meets IT - in a global company. You become part of the Grundfos Corporate Supply Chain, more specifically the Demand Planning team where we operate the global demand planning process in the Grundfos Group. We are 4 colleagues, who every month collect the sales forecasts from the Grundfos sales companies and consolidate them in one forecast for the organisation. Grundfos is running global Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) across our 55 sales companies and 15 manufacturing sites. You will be a key player in the Demand Planning element of S&OP and a close sparring partner to team members and our IT department. You refer toDepartment Head, Demand Planning, Anne Marie Ladefoged. ”We have a really great atmosphere in the team. What is the job about? In this maternity cover, which runs until November 2016, you are responsible for supporting your colleagues in driving the Demand Planning process. As such, you are the ‘super user’ of the Demand Planning module in our SAP APO and help your colleagues further improve the system and the way we use it – both in the team and in the organisation. Moreover, you work on developing the process and keeping documentation, e.g. training material, up to date. You also work on data analysis and reporting. During your day, you work in depth with the system to carry out continuous development of techniques, methods and approaches to Demand Planning. You investigate, describe and recommend solutions to improve the process and system and act as the link between the Demand Planning Team and Grundfos’ IS organisation regarding APO-DP. Moreover, you maintain Access databases and Excel sheets used for (management) reporting and carry out various analyses to drive and improve the S&OP process. “Your time spent in this maternity cover will be put to good use. There is a lot to learn – both about the system and the Grundfos organization so you can be sure to develop your skills in this position. Also, you will take up a central position in the team as a go-to person so your closest stakeholders will be your own colleagues,” Anne Marie says. What do you need to apply? Your education is not as important as your analytical mind-set and your desire to work in depth with a system. Thus, you are no stranger to working with data and maintaining a system. Most likely, you have experience with Logistics/SCM and you have worked with demand planning systems, preferably SAP APO-DP. Being an Excel wiz is an absolute must. But most importantly, you enjoy working in depth within this niche where business meets IT. And you are ready to learn all about our system and our organisation. “On a personal level, you are relentless in testing the system to correct any errors, and you take a proactive approach to driving solutions and improvements. You are service-minded and do not mind doing the same thing 1, 2 or 3 times to find an error. And finally, you know how to prioritise and are able to work in complex settings and with different stakeholders,” Anne Marie finishes.
