For our Process Engineering department in Siemens Wind Power Blades we are looking for a committed and motivated Process Engineer. You will be part of a global team of Process Engineers working on developing new and optimizing existing processes within blades manufacturing. What are my responsibilities? · Analyze and characterize chemical and physical properties of composite surface treatment systems · Define test methods for material characterization and qualification · Design and document “critical to-parameters” for processes within scope of work · Contribute to or lead process development · Actively engage in process development · Actively engage in process optimizations · Ensure Best Practice sharing across plants and product portfolio · Implement process design updates in running production and field repair solutions · Have the strategic overview for process development and roadmap · Collaborate with supplier’s technical staff · Collaborate with internal and external test laboratories · Collaborate with other internal departments e.g. the technology department and the quality department What do I need to qualify for this job? · You hold a degree in chemical engineering, composite engineering, material sciences or similar · You have extended experience in composite surface systems from wind turbine/aviation or related industries · You have extensive knowledge of material qualification and surface testing · You have a structured approach to your work and are able to handle simultaneous assignments without losing overview · You possess the ability to work both independently and in teams · You possess excellent English skills both orally and in writing In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
