Then join the Global Development and Engineering function, which is part of Grundfos Business Development in Bjerringbro, Denmark. We are responsible for the daily support of the Grundfos production and assembly companies worldwide and carry out maintenance and support on the products, ensuring high quality standards. We are looking for two Product Engineers – one for a team of 6 working with product care for various Booster systems and one for a team of 13 working on Multistage pumps. You refer to either Product Engineering Manager for Multistage pumps, Erik Andersen or Product Engineering Manager for Booster products, Per Jensen. ”In the Global Development and Engineering function, you will be part of an international environment where we value teamwork and sparring. Both teams within this function are responsible for daily product maintenance, creating variants as well as minor development and rationalisation projects,” Erik explains. What is the job about? As Product Engineer in either Booster systems or Multistage pumps, you are responsible for maintaining and improving our product range by designing and developing variants as well as handling product maturation. This also entails handling large quantities of data in SAP. You may be involved in both small and medium sized projects. Another part of your job is to act as technical support for our production and assembly companies. You make cost analyses and rationalisation, plan and complete tests as well as make product and design documentation. Along the way, you contribute with technical assistance at product approvals in new markets. “One of your main challenges is to keep your focus on the entire product or solution when we make changes and that all factories are ready to receive them. Changes hold great impact so thorough implementation is an important key to success,” Per says. What do you need to apply? You have a technical education as Engineer or similar with flair for both mechanical and electrical systems. You may have a few to several years of experience as a designer or developer in a development department or in a production company. A firm understanding of technology is essential and you must be able to approach complex technical problems with a practical attitude. Experience with test specifications, planning and completing tests on system level as well as experience with SAP and E-/M- CAD is a plus. You speak and write English fluently. “On a personal level, you are independent and hands-on. You know how to work in a team and build up relations and you are able to collaborate with colleagues on many different levels of the organisation. Being able to stay focused and organised is also an important factor,” Erik finishes.
