Platform Management / Product Leads & Certification / Plant Platform
Platform Management delivers new power plant and turbine variants by driving project execution across the value chain to ensure delivery of products on time to market, without compromising quality and product costs. Through innovation, development and continuous product improvements we continuously develop our products and technologies to reduce the cost of energy to ensure highest possible value to our customers and to Vestas.

The Product Leads department is responsible for product specification, feasibility studies and technical execution all done through cross functional teams. We deliver standardized and modular product families configurable to customer needs and that meet the agreed product performance KPIs. These products also include wind power plant solutions combined with solar and battery storage solutions.

Responsibilities
As a Product Engineer in Plant Platform, you will report to the Plant Platform Product Lead.
Your main responsibilities and tasks will be:

• Lead integration of our hybrid plant control concept develop by Innovation & Concept into a standard plant offering all in close corporation with Innovation & Concept, Product Management and Power Plant Engineering
• Capture customer and market requirements for future product releases with focus on plant control for wind power plants combined with solar and energy storage solutions ensuring compliance to marked requirements and optimized plant operation to improve the business case for our customers.
• Technical execution of hybrid power plant projects or elements of it through cross functional teams
• Lead feasibility studies through cross functional teams to provide input to future hybrid power plant products and solutions.

Qualifications

Your qualifications include:

• Master's Degree in Controls Engineering
• Experience with controls of electrical power plants is an advantage
• Experience with electrical power system stability problematics.
• Experience with communication problematic between controllers and actuator units.

Additional information

Primary work location is in Aarhus/Denmark.

Position requires around 20 travel days/year.
