External Posting Title Product Manager Job Description This position will be responsible for understanding the product(s), therapeutic areas, markets, competitors, and stakeholders influencing the customers and their markets. Understanding, developing, aligning and monitoring the components of an integrated product strategy as well as developing, communicating and executing the integrated product plan. Using the market insights and knowledge obtained from clinical trials, thought leaders and publications as drivers for the integrated product strategy. Analyzing market data to identify gaps, interpret trends and track the market to determine a product’s forecast and growth opportunities. Using appropriate metrics to assess the impact of strategy, tactics and messaging, and refine where required. Understanding and applying financial concepts of forecasting, budgeting, P&L, and ROI assessment. Understanding and applying knowledge of pricing, health economics, and reimbursement dynamics. Product strategy: Lead Brand team and communicating with internal stakeholders to align initiatives with the product strategy. Supporting the product strategy by creating aligned marketing activation plans: tactics, budgets, and channel mix. Reinforcing the product strategy through developing training materials and activities that are consistent with co-positioning guidelines Contributing to the competitive landscape in order to recommend positioning and differentiation plans. Leveraging marketing insights to influence the development and implementation of segmentation strategies. Ensure that market insights and clinical knowledge and data, is the driver of the product strategy. Managing market position and brand equity strength by working cross-functionally. Communicating and influencing the project strategy with internal stakeholders at all levels. Ensure that actions are in accordance with legal and the local rules (and Global when applicable) for marketing and ensure compliance to the SOP and Regulatory Rules. Marketing Execution: Driving product teams to develop and deliver messages that are relevant for changing stakeholder behaviors. Managing the transition of integrated product plans with internal stakeholders as product strategies and markets change. Monitoring the execution of a product plan and influencing stakeholders where misalignment exists. Responding to shifts in executional metrics by revising marketing mix to ensure impact of tactical plans. Understanding the evolution of lifecycle plans/status, competitive landscape, and customer environments to anticipate and make changes in marketing mix and messaging. Directing channel mix and channel priorities to maximize profit. Drive marketing support to the sales organization, ensure feedback of the needs to the rest of the organization and take an active role in sharing best practice between markets, functions and products. Responsible for assigned customer events and initiatives. Customer and Markets: Understanding the buying process for own product(s) and market. Assessing relative strengths and weaknesses by seeking out research on own and competitor products Interpreting data for products, markets, and competitors to provide useful feedback to marketing and sales teams Influencing market research and decision support efforts to enhance insights into prescriber, patient, and payer behavior. Analysis and Financial: Providing input on research methodologies and relevant research questions to support the direction of future research. Understanding data from multiple sources to identify customer and market insights. Communicating product priorities and requirements for primary research to market researchers. Building and defining executional metrics for product -specific performance follow-up. Understanding, executing and delivering against a set budget.
