Product Manager - Marine Boilers
Profitable customer concepts & strategic projects
As our new Product Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and leading the continuously development of the Marine Boiler Business. As a vital part of our business, you’ll be creating profitable customer concepts and ensure a solid business platform. Furthermore, you will:
- Identify market needs with market units and sales companies
- Secure specification of new products with clear technical, market and project specifications
- Prioritize between new ideas and products ready to be developed
- Participate in Product Council, idea generation boards and project steering groups
- Secure product profitability through system competitiveness and value analysis and engineering initiatives
- Conduct design reviews with operations, product development, quality, purchasing and with customers
- Find, qualify and pursue new business opportunities within new applications
You will be part of a team of 8 motivated colleagues working in an informal atmosphere. The team is involved in strategic projects for Marine Boiler development reporting the Head of Product Management
Do you know how a ship works
To thrive in this position, you originally have a technical education and for the last couple of years you have been working in a more commercial role in the marine industry, either in product management, sales, service or other related fields. You have hands on experience with international markets, customer concepts, market analysis or similar. As a person, you understand that being flexible, curious and seeking best practices drives business development and secure superior customer experiences. You are structured, detail oriented and enjoy working with analysis and reporting as part of your work day. Further, good written and verbal communication skills in English are essential, and you should expect around 40 days of traveling on a yearly basis.
