Thus, we need a skilled Product Manager to make sure we stay ahead technologically and commercially in an area which is of utmost importance strategically. Here is your chance to take full ownership of our product range within electrical motors with built-in drives. And to influence and take ownership of our product portfolio in a position where your skills will be challenged to bring out the best in you. You become part of the Global Product Management – more specifically the Motors & Drives team where we are responsible for purchased electric motors and drives as well as the motors we produce at Grundfos. We are 5 colleagues in the team with 3 dedicated to standard motors with built-in drives. You refer to Programme Manager, Preben Poulsen. ”Our team is busy, but we work really well and very closely together to ensure a great atmosphere and outstanding products. All of your colleagues are Engineers with electrical backgrounds, and we are a versatile group with different seniority and competences,” Preben explains. What is the job about? As Product Manager you have the global responsibility for Grundfos produced electrical motors with built-in drives used on Grundfos E-pumps. As such, you develop and implement global product strategies by initiating development projects, cooperating with Project Managers, and establishing global product roadmaps. You are accountable for the commercial deliveries within a project. This entails being in close contact with internal stakeholders to discuss the product, the price, availability and functionality. Thus, you will be part of a development team playing a crucial role in the product development phase, contributing with commercial insight as you are in direct contact with the market. Moreover, you also support the global Grundfos organisation with technical product knowledge. “Your main challenge will be to know your product range both technically and commercially. Our products are quite unique and we are also a complex organisation working in many different systems. So you will be challenged from many angles but also build a solid foundation of knowledge,” Preben says. What do you need to apply? You have a degree in Electrical Engineering and it is a plus if you have experience with electrical motors and drives. Furthermore, you possess solid technical knowledge but also a commercial outlook, and you wish to work both technically and commercially with a product range. It is an advantage if you have already worked with product or project management. You speak and write English fluently. “On a personal level, you are outgoing, and you know how to have a feeling with what is going on in the organisation and how new initiatives will be received in the different departments. You understand how to communicate at many levels and how to get your message across while maintaining a strong customerfocus,” Preben finishes.
