We will grow in the near future, but currently, we are 6 colleagues who are technically responsible for a series of products. Working closely with especially our Product Managers, we ensure the product safety, quality and the ability to produce the products. On occasion, we also create variants, developing on our current products. You refer to Product Engineering Manager, Jesper Wigand Mathiasen. ”In the team, we care about making great and environmentally friendly products of the highest quality. We maintain a strong focus on our customers, but we also know that we would not be able to work if it was not for our colleagues in the rest of the organisation. As we work primarily through our colleagues, collaboration and sparring is of huge importance,” Jesper explains. What is the job about? As our new Product Technical Responsible, you are responsible for globally maintaining insourced sensor products as well as the sensors we develop ourselves in our high-tech production in Farum and Bjerringbro. The sensors cover pressure transmitters, flow and level meters, and you are overall accountable for the technical side of the products and also in charge of developing variants and smaller projects. This entails working on design, quality, ability to produce and legislation compliance and ensuring documentation according to requirements to be handed to our Production and external suppliers. As you are responsible for the products and their quality, you also carry out overall test planning as well as conduct value analysis and initiate rationalisations in the production. Moreover, you analyse production and market failures and initiate corrective actions. And on occasions, you visit the end customer to ensure quality. Some of our sensors are sold to OEM customers, which means that you will work closely with our OEM Sales department. “You really need to take ownership of your tasks and you will be working through colleagues to put their expert competencies in play when needed. That means you have to take on a role similar to a Project Manager – only your challenge is to delegate tasks and engage stakeholders to achieve success rather than execute the projects yourself. Maintaining products is a long-term task with many small tasks occurring along the way,” Jesper says. What do you need to apply? You have an engineering background and you perceive yourself as a technician. And you have 3+ years of experience that gives you a solid technical foundation, excellent analytical skills and the ability to see through the complexity of a product and know in which technical direction we should take it to solve a problem. Moreover, you are fluent in English. Danish is a plus but not a prerequisite. “On a personal level, you wish to work on our products on a long-term basis, taking your time to understand and know them in depth and being creative with your solutions. You are able to handle many tasks simultaneously and keep an overview of which people you have engaged in the different assignments. And finally, you need to be able to motivate and convince them so we can deliver on time,” Jesper finishes.
