Manufacturing & Global Procurement > Assembly, Generators & Towers > Production Engineering
The Global Production Engineering department under Assembly is a newly established function in Vestas. With teams in 3 regions, Production Engineering generates solutions to design-challenges in order to fulfil the Vestas product and technology roadmaps. 
In order to support the factories; the Production Engineering department has a large interface across the Vestas organization

Responsibilities

  • To be a player in the central PE assembly team taking part on projects and PE activities
  • Develop and Lead E2E projects/improvements
  • Evaluate manufacturability for assembly. Collect and deliver feedback to Design Engineering
  • Secure readiness for all new turbines; new processes and technology. Participate on Tech reviews within Vestas way to Market (VwTM)
  • Support on Process improvement including support and maintenance of the manufacturing demand spec for design
  • Support and deliver as agreed on projects and running support
  • Support on Business cases both at factory but also global (Including Semi Knocked Downs - SKDs, make buy...)
  • Support on LC projects

Qualifications

  • Strong technical background within assembly
  • Experience on E2E projects, SKDs, manufacturing requirements
  • Experience on assembly manufacturing processes / technologies
  • Experience with solving design vs manufacturing constraints
  • Objective and analytical skills within manufacturing trouble shooting
  • Project management experience

Competencies

  • Manage a role as a link between production and design department
  • Ability to work on all levels within an organization
  • Strong communications skills at all levels and locations, having a strong command of English
  • Ability to handle complex, local constraint, liaising and coordinating with the necessary stakeholders
  • Strong individual, who is persistent and always speaks up his/hers mind for the best of Vestas
