Professional/Project manager to develop og enforce EU advocacy strategy on bioprotective cultures
Do you want to support Chr. Hansen, the world’s most sustainable company, in improving food safety and minimize food waste around the world? 

Chr. Hansen is looking for a Professional who can engage EU regulators clarifying the regulatory framework on the use of food cultures to fight food waste and improve food safety. 

We have an ambitious strategy for using food cultures to protect food from spoilage and pathogens, and we want to engage EU member states and relevant industry associations on how to unfold the great opportunities of improving food safety and minimizing food waste, simply by using the right selected natural food cultures. Professional to Advocacy on Food Cultures
We are looking for a Professional who can develop various regulatory strategies, map member state stakeholders to develop best advocacy approach and represent Chr. Hansen when engaging EU stakeholders. The Professional will work out of our Hørsholm headquarters in Denmark during the project but can also work from Brussels or another EU member state capital some of the time. 

We are contemplating to expand our advocacy team with a permanent position to take these activities forward, and as our Professional you will be handing over to our new team member during the next six months.

Your main tasks will therefore be to develop the vision and strategy including Develop alternative scenarios for an advocacy program for bioprotective cultures. Drive execution of the chosen plan, internally as well as externally. Further,

• Keep all internal stakeholders informed on the progress of the project
• Represent Chr. Hansen towards external stakeholders, together with advocacy team and/or members of other teams within the organization
• Handover to a future team member, who will be responsible for the project going forward 

You can expect several one-two days trips within EU every month

 

Your profile
You have a relevant academic background and have preferably been working as a Professional on similar assignments and therefore you have minimum 5-10 years of advocacy experience combined with minimum 5-10 years of food law/ regulatory experience.

It is essential that you have a good network in the EU, ideally within food regulation, excellent project management skills and are familiar with development and execution of advocacy programs. Further, you have:

• Substantial experience working with the EU commission and experience with driving advocacy programs towards the EU
• Substantial and proven Project Manager skills
• Experience working with sustainable development of corporations will be an advantage
• Excellent communication skills; you can communicate complex matters clearly to a wide range of stakeholders
• Excellent language skills (working language is English)

 
As a person you are self-driven and highly engaged. You have highly developed interpersonal skills are a must as you will form part of our advocacy team and work closely with the commercial organization on Food Cultures, R&D and our Sustainability team.
