Would you like to manage one of the most ambitious offshore wind farm projects in Europe? Join us and become Programme Director in Project Execution which is responsible for managing the execution of wind farm projects, from pre-final investment decisions through wind farm construction until transfer to operations. You will report to the Head of Project Execution and the programme steering commitee – Wind Power Executive Committee. The department is part of Wind Power which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at one of our Danish offices in Skærbæk near Fredericia or Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area or alternatively at our German office in Hamburg or at our British office in London on local terms and conditions. You should, however, expect frequent travelling to our locations both in Denmark and abroad in relation to your work, and you should be willing to work on site in periods during the project execution phase, if needed. Areas of responsibility Your primary task will be to manage an offshore wind farm project together with the programme management team. You will act on behalf of the Wind Power Executive Committee to secure adherence to overall business objectives of the programme (business case, timeline, budget, scope, etc), including ensuring allocation of required resources. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: •deliver the business case and programme governance •ensure that Health, Safety & Environment policies are met in the programme and implement safety activities in the execution phase •manage partnerships and stakeholders •negotiate and manage programme-specific agreements in cooperation with the programme management team and other internal departments •see the project through to transfer to operations. As Programme Director, you will have the overall leadership role of the offshore wind farm turn-key project leading and directing the programme team, to ensure that the programme team works effectively and efficiently within the company's and Wind Power's matrix organisation. Your profile You have a relevant master's degree combined with solid experience within the wind or offshore industries, preferably the offshore wind industry. Ideally, you have managed large-scale turnkey projects in an international project environment. You have in-depth knowledge of international project management standards, such as PMI, IPMA or PRINCE2, and experience with stage-gate divided project execution. Furthermore, you have a solid financial, commercial, legal and technical understanding of and experience with complex projects. It is important that you thrive in a job in a hectic, multicultural project organisation where the only constant is change. As you will be handling many international stakeholders, internally and externally, it is essential that you have excellent communication skills, and that you speak and write English fluently. You are able to handle numerous tasks simultaneously without losing perspective.
