The EMEA Business Application Domain consulting organization is searching for an experienced services delivery leadership professional to lead delivery of transformational Microsoft Dynamics projects at some of Microsoft’s largest customers.  

The Delivery Director is an highly experienced Professional with a strong track record of demonstrated great leadership credentials, ability to manage C-Suite, with strong business acumen, flexible and open mindset to easily adapt to different industries, client cultures and supported with effective and appropriate communication styles, together with higher emotional intelligence. 

The Delivery Director has considerable knowledge and experience of project management practice, and Project Management trends and methodologies.  With excellent ability to lead and work in team and enable others or leveraging on others in order  to delivery Programme/Projects success, including Red programmes/projects.  For example; To lead the remediation phase, secure the success of strategic Project, even led by partner, to secure the adoption and the consumption of MSFT Solutions and Services.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Business Domain Executive Sponsor on programmes, primarily marking the senior client sponsor 
• Works with customer and Microsoft internal stakeholders on identifying and achieving  program business objectives
• Coaches other Programme Manager and Project Managers
• Supports the Delivery Manager Manager's during the hiring process
• Serve as an end-to-end trusted advisor, (externally and internally) providing exceptional service and adapting strategy to meet customer drivers and needs
• Establishes and influences programme governance to openly discuss and resolve issues and concerns and act as the primary contact
• Developing new business: highlighting new opportunities, conduct due diligence on deals during the presales cycle, help building solid and competitive proposals
• Main escalation point (externally and internally): Oversee the programme and project team, offering guidance and escalating concerns
• Hold customer and internal teams accountable, initiating performance improvement conversations and resolution as necessary
• Communicate with the team and customers to build credibility and ensure all parties are informed of the strategy, major issues, and dependencies Focus on communications is 60% Customer, and 40% Microsoft
• Maintain a good relationship with all the internal Microsoft stakeholders to quickly solve issues

 

Qualifications

Team Building: Develop a Customer/Microsoft team that builds trust, actively anticipates, and solves issues jointly. Involve periphery organizations within Microsoft to leverage skills and customer knowledge to achieve the outcome 

 

Conflict Management: Using performance management techniques, identify and facilitate the resolution of conflicts between team members. Provide timely and effective feedback. Work to improve team member performance and coach to success  

 

Leading Teams: Lead medium to large geographically dispersed teams. Be cognizant of social/cultural diversity of team members and lead an environment of inclusion. Inspire confidence across all stakeholders. Respected as Sponsor and Escalation point by MSFT and customer team  

 

Team Working: Create a collaborative environment by establishing practices that foster and maintain collaboration across Microsoft groups, Customer and its partners. Ensure the groups deliver targeted results (externally and internally)

Problem Solving & Accountability: Quickly grasp project risks and issues, identify solutions, effectively leverage internal organizations for assistance before issues become critical. Leverage the expertise of team members to help anticipate potential issues. Have the courage to deliver bad news, in a constructive way 

Vision Building: Form a compelling vision with the team. Create energy, buy-in and drive to achieve customer outcomes 

Communication: Communicate to influence others in a predictable way. Describe the problem, define the root cause, propose a solution, taking customer feedback into account.  Eliminate ambiguity and tailor communications appropriately for the target audience
