Do you want to play a key role in large-scale offshore wind projects? Are you ready to apply your superior project management skills, commercial insight and technical aptitude? MHI Vestas Offshore Wind is a fast-paced international company, and we are looking for a strong Project Director for our Offshore projects.

You will join our Operations Department, where we are responsible for all activities in relation to construction and service of offshore wind projects. Currently counting more than 500 employees, located at multiple pre-assembly-, project-, and service sites and with headquarter in Aarhus, Denmark. Currently, we have three project teams headed by Project Directors reporting directly to our COO.

Tasks & responsibilities: You will...

...get the opportunity to build a new project team, ensuring competences are in place for delivering and executing on projects from the contract negotiation stage all the way to the handover to the customer/Service. Your project team will drive 2-3 projects depending on the scope and complexity. The team will consist of 10-15 highly skilled members, this includes Project Managers, senior technical and functional specialists, planning and administrative professionals.

You will be a member of the COO's management team, contributing to and executing on the overall strategy of the Operations' area. You will take part in key organisational and commercial decisions for the project, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and in compliance with all quality and HSE standards. You will be involved from the start of the project, including defining the project in conjunction with your Project Managers and other internal and external stakeholders. You will be leading and motivating your team with high focus on people and team development.

Skills & experience: Our new colleague...

...has experience from a similar role as Project Director on several large-scale projects - preferably in the offshore industry or other industries with equivalent complexity. You have had the full cost or Profit & Loss responsibility for comparable projects and have a proven track record.

You are an experienced people manager and have been successful in leading and driving a team of competent Project Managers and qualified specialists. You have a strong commercial and contractual focus, and you have experience building and maintaining effective working relationships internally as well as externally. You have an eye for detail, consistency and correctness, but you are always able to take a step back to see the bigger picture. You are results-oriented, self-driven, with excellent communication skills and motivated to make a difference for the team, the project and the organisation.
