Do you want to champion excellent project management to drive an improved business performance in Vestas Manufacturing and Global Procurement?
We are looking for a PMO Specialist with a thorough understanding of and hands-on experience with project management methods and best practices. You know how to organise project portfolios and you are experienced in training project leaders and organisations to excel in project execution in a complex corporate environment.

The COO Project Management Office is a fast moving, international team that has a mission of building and developing Vestas' global manufacturing footprint. We are a team of 30 project managers and PMO specialists located around the world, dedicated to building best practices in project and portfolio management and delivering safe and reliable project results. 

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of improvement initiatives in the areas of project excellence and portfolio management
• Support COO project managers in the use of the PMO toolbox for high quality project execution
• Coordinate new project origination and business process development across the Vestas value chain
• Train project managers and business stakeholders on PMO tools and best practices
• Full ownership of specific initiatives within the PMO service catalog
• Proactively identifying opportunities for PMO development, and participating in PMO strategy sessions to mature the level of project execution and portfolio management
• Working with project managers and participating in workshops with project teams and line management to ensure the effective application of the PMO toolbox and adherence to project management best practices
• Ensure thorough estimation and planning of resources across the organisation with regard to project deliverables and plans

Qualifications

• We expect you to have a relevant Bachelor or Master's degree focusing on Project Management.
• 3-5 years of relevant working experience with PMO development.
• Certification with PRINCE2 Foundation or IPMA D. PRINCE2 Practitioner or PMP preferred.

Competencies
Thorough your understanding of and hands-on experience with project management methods and best practices we expect you to have experience with: 

• Organising project portfolios in a complex corporate environment
• Training project leaders and organisations to excel in project execution
• Strong communication and presentation skills with PRINCE2 Foundation or IPMA D, PRINCE2 Practitioner or PMP preferred
• Project planning monitoring and control methodologies and best practices
• Steerco training and project governance

Additional information
Your primary work location will be Hammel, Denmark. Expected travelling around 40 days per year.
