For the Tower Internals team of the Tower Department at our global Technology head office in Brande, Denmark, we are looking for a Project Manager. The team is responsible for designing tower internals for all Siemens wind turbines with special focus on improving quality and EHS whilst lowering cost of the construction. Further, the team develops the system that contains the converter, transformer and switch gear units in the bottom of the towers. Microsoft Project is used as planning tool and the design work is performed in AutoCad Inventor / Team Center but during this year we will migrate to Siemens NX / Team Center. Currently the team has 25 employees with a technical or engineering background. The team is located in Brande, Denmark. What are my responsibilities? As a Project Manager you have the full daily responsibility for the project team’s performance and deliverables ensuring adequate balance between time to market, a high design quality and fulfillment of international standards. You need to ensure continuous improvements of tools and processes. You will interface with many internal as well as external stakeholders. More specifically, your main responsibilities will cover: Lead short or long term R&D projects internally and cross functionally and ensure constant progress Be point of contact to internal stakeholders, for example the project owner i.e. Turbine Platform PM, Siemens Regional Engineering departments, Tower team and Tower Procurement w.r.t high level collaboration. Ensure appropriate communication flow to internal and external stakeholders Ensure the team fulfills the documentation requirements from the Siemens Product Development Plan Stage Gate model Contact to external stakeholders, for example Power Utilities, Certifying Bodies, Engineering Consultancies and Tower Component Suppliers. Direct, develop, recognize and motivate the designers Ensure resources and “buy in” Continuous project target setting for the team in close corporation with the Team Lead of Tower Internals Evaluate and delegate incoming questions and tasks Development of methods and tools for effective execution of tasks and increasing quality of deliverables within the team. What do I need to qualify for this job? Preferably you have an engineering degree combined with a few years of experience within project management of larger mechanical systems in a larger cross functional organization. As a person you are proactive and structured and you have a holistic mindset and strong project management skills. You have a result and team-oriented approach to your work and are capable of keeping the overview and a sense of perspective during complex situations. Furthermore, you thrive in an international organization and possess excellent English skills both orally and in writing. You have the ability to influence others and move toward a common goal creating results through others. You have the ability to operate at all levels of an organization and are not afraid to solve operational tasks. You also possess the following qualifications: Flexible and able to prioritize your own and your teams tasks in a busy environment Team player Speak English fluently Strong user of Excel, Power Point and MS Project Stakeholder management Strong communication skills Business understanding Strong project management skills Further more you are able to make relations at strategic and operational level and show good understanding of working in an international organization.
