Global Procurement > Business Development & Operations (BD&O) >  IPD & Platform ProjectsAs part of the Global Procurement area, the Integrated Product Development department is responsible for execution of new product development projects, Mark upgrade projects and technology projects within Supply Chain Management globally for Vestas Wind Systems A/S. Being part of the project core team the department participate from the early stages in new product development projects, where the business assessment is taking place until the global roll out has been finalized.
Responsibilities

• Lead and drive global integrated product development projects within Global Procurement in co-operation with Vestas Power Solutions (VPS) and Manufacturing.
• Manage Supply Chain readiness throughout the development projects until global product ramp-up, including supplier selection, capacity fulfillment etc.
• Ensure cross organizational product implementation towards the different production units like Assembly, Blades, Power Conversion and Towers.
• Transfer the strategies of Global Procurement into actions in the new product development projects, ensuring Design for Sourcing.
• Responsible for the optimum balance between the needed quality, cost, time and resources.
• Take full ownership of all deliverables from Global Procurement according to the Vestas stage gate model in all projects, including risk management.
• Budget responsible for Global Procurement in new product development projects.

QualificationsThe successful candidate has 3-5 years' experience within project management. Furthermore, we expect that:

• You have a relevant BSc or MSc in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Management or equivalent, combined with experience from procurement, project-, stakeholder- and change management.
• You have experience with international product introduction, and a holistic understanding of project management, preferably from the wind turbine industry or similar.
• You have experience from a similar position, and you have probably established in-house or outsourced international production of new complex products.
• Your current/recent position could be a management position within supply chain operations, or a similar project management position.

CompetenciesTo be successful in the job it is important that you: 

• Hold a project management certification such as Prince 2, PMI or equivalent.
• Know how to manage your stakeholders efficiently by building and maintaining relations.
• Can keep the overview under pressure, and have a pragmatic approach.
• Are persistent and flexible with the ability to decide and execute independently.
• Are a convincing communicator who knows how to motivate project teams.
• Speak and write English at a high level– competencies in additional languages is advantageous.
