If so, this job might be just what you’re looking for … About the department Corporate Government Affairs and Trade Policy is an area within Corporate Stakeholder Engagement at Novo Nordisk A/S. We engage and co-ordinate the company´s activities with governments and trade associations to create a supportive environment for people with diabetes and Novo Nordisk. You will join a small, but dynamic team of highly skilled colleagues. We are located at Novo Nordisk´s new headquarter, NN1, in Bagsværd, Copenhagen. The job The job is a maternity cover from Fall 2015 to 30 June 2016. You will be responsible for securing overall co-ordination of Novo Nordisk´s engagement with trade associations. You will assist in development of strategies and plans for Novo Nordisk´s involvement (commitment, infrastructure and priority setting) and provide input to briefings for Executive Management representatives in their roles as Board Members of three major pharmaceutical trade associations (PhRMA & Bio for US and EFPIA for Europe). You will develop Management Reports for senior management covering Novo Nordisk´s involvement in trade associations (key issues and themes being discussed at the board level), working in close co-operation with the Novo Nordisk Washington office. You will engage closely with all relevant internal stakeholders (corporate functions and relevant affiliates). You will conduct activities with the purpose of strengthening the execution, and improving the knowledge of how working with trade associations can support the business of Novo Nordisk. Finally, you will support the team to secure effective administration and business conduct in line with the Novo Nordisk Way and relevant procedures (business ethics, budgeting, business score cards, activity planning, office support etc). Qualifications You have a Master’s degree in the field of political science, business administration, economics, law or similar, and a minimum of 1 years’ experience from trade associations, the government/public administration or from a similar role in the pharmaceutical industry. You have a solid understanding of the EU, US and Danish political systems and of the general business and stakeholder environment of Novo Nordisk. Experience of working with trade association issues from a political or technical perspective (market access, transparency, reputation, R&D, regulatory etc.) is a clear advantage. You have a track record of success in project management and experience in providing support to senior management (briefings, presentations etc.). You are well-respected and able to build positive relations internally and externally. You have good strategic, analytical and communicative skills. Finally, you have a structured approach, a strong focus on business ethics and are able to drive change and adapt to new challenges.
