Manufacturing & Global Procurement, PWT&NAC, Fasteners Vestas Global Procurement is overall responsible for all supply chain management activities within Vestas Wind Systems A/S, including Leading Cross Functional Category Teams, negotiations, cost out initiatives, Category Strategy Development and Implementation, quality and delivery performance, supplier relationship management and Supplier Account Management. The category for which the Purchasing Manager is needed is within structural Fasteners that are widely used in the Wind Turbine Towers and Nacelles. In this Area we have more than 80 suppliers, and over 2000 items with an approximate 50 million EUR spend per year. Responsibilies Your responsibilities will be to: Lead the global commodity team for structural fasteners together with members from main stakeholders across Vestas' organization. Keep developing and executing the Fastener Commodity Strategy with the key purpose to create value across the entire value chain Optimize the current supply base including the cost base Ensure Best in Class Performance and Supply Chain Setup Drive continuous improvement programs both internally and at the suppliers with special focus on cost saving initiative, supplier optimization and value adding component standardization Ensure adherence to KPI’s set by Global Procurement in regards to safety, quality, cost, delivery, innovation and sustainability Participate in selection, qualification, negotiation and contracting with main suppliers within the category Qualifications You have a relevant educational background on B.Sc. or M.Sc. level combined with approximately 3 years' work experience within Strategic Purchasing Competencies You are a well-organized, self-motivated and result-oriented and capable of operating successfully in a dynamic working environment With your strong negotiation skills and technical understanding you are able to maintain and strengthen the supplier relationship You are able to encourage stakeholder inputs and ensure that ideas are prioritized and implemented in a structured and fact-based way. You are a strong team player with the ability to simplify things to secure effective and successful implementation of the initiatives you lead. Furthermore, you have: A holistic and positive mindset The ability to see the big picture from Vestas product offerings towards customers to connecting these to supplier offerings, and see how they can positively impact Vestas sales and cost out programs A strong analytical, structured and fact-based approach The ability to bring people together using your strong leader and influencer skills Excellent communication skills including being fluent in English both written and spoken Advanced IT skills particularly within Power Point and Excel Finally, you are not afraid of challenging the status quo - and make things happen with your persistency!
