Do you want to be part of the Global Sourcing team in Vestas and work closely with suppliers in one of the most dynamic and innovative companies in the renewable energy sector globally? Can you execute a commodity category strategy, drive negotiation processes and manage supplier relationships? Then you might be are new Purchaser for the Powertrain Auxiliaries team in Global Sourcing. COO, Global Sourcing, Powertrain Global Sourcing is responsible for managing Vestas supplier base world-wide. You will work closely with our powertrain auxiliary's suppliers to secure world class performance and drive supply chain improvements. Your focus will be on the strategic sourcing process and secure that the right partners for Vestas are chosen so that our objectives towards safety, quality, delivery, cost, sustainability, flexibility are met. The sub-department Legal Procurement and Product Development collaborates with all levels in the Vestas organization, with internal customers having diverse backgrounds educationally, culturally and geographically. Responsibilities: As Purchaser for Powertrain Auxiliaries it will be your responsibility to support the development and implementation the global sourcing strategy to powertrain components with focus on bearings, couplings, brakes and shrink disc. You manage the tender process (RFIs and RFQs) within the category. You are responsible for agreements and contracts within the commodity, and need to secure that they are agreed with approved suppliers in accordance with standardized contract templates. You align with peers and stakeholders to secure a cross functional approach. You establish and develop partnerships with selected supplier to gain competitive advantages for Vestas including KPI's. You prepare and handle supplier scorecard with suppliers within the category and execute risk assessments of suppliers, using the standard risk tools. You support / lead key tasks within the category strategy (e.g. supplier intelligence) or category plan (e.g. target setting on KPIs) and follow up with suppliers and internal stakeholders on missing information. You build supply market intelligence and ensure that supply base data is available to support business decisions. You secure that all cost out opportunities are identified. You deploy multiple sourcing on all critical components. You have customer focus and d and take the Voice of customer into account. You secure that prices are correctly entered into the ERP system. Furthermore you will be in close relationship with our globally organized Assembly factories Qualifications The right candidate: Master or bachelor degree in either business administration, engineering, supply chain or finance 1-2 years of experience from a similar position within a comparable environment, in a manufacturing company or consultancy Proven track record within Procurement is preferable Experienced in negotiation and contract management Excellent communication skills including fluent English skills (both orally and in writing) Competencies: The successful candidate: Can-do approach: high accountability Persistent, hardworking and process orientated Developed interpersonal and collaboration skills Result driven combined with an analytical and structured approach We are looking for a talented individual who is looking to move their career to the next step and strongly develop their professional skills working a multicultural global environment.
