MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
We need a skilled Product Specialist to contribute in meeting business demands concerning software development, and who is able to react dynamically and agile towards these demands. We are
looking to expand our competence base within SCADA software development to ensure alignment and expansion of current product portfolio to create unity on product units, hence create a higher
level of cost efficiency per product unit.
SCADA International Engineering & Design (E&D) is a department that supports all other departments at SCADA International: Technical 2nd Level Support to Service/Installation, technical
clarification, development of concepts of hardware and software and Scope of Work abstractJV_descriptions for the production including electrical and mechanical drawings.
Furthermore, E&D is responsible for education and training of internal and external stakeholders within our own product range. E&D also has the potential to train customers in their own systems in addition to substantial domain knowledge within SCADA systems and solutions on- and offshore.
The department consists of four individual product areas: Network, Hardware, OneView (software) and Technical Design. Primary responsibilities for the Product Specialist are:
• Design and cost calculation of software solution.
• Design and do technical documentation of complete system software & hardware.
• Technical review and design modifications (existing products).
• Technical project management.
• Supplier and customer contact.
• Sales support, technical tender material and bid management.
• 2. level support on own products.
CANDIDATE BACKGROUND
It is essential that you have a strong technical background within software, control systems and IT. Your basic educational background could be as an Electrician, after which you have gained a Bachelor of Technology Management with a focus on software. In addition, you have worked in a production environment with highly complex technical systems, and you are probably already familiar with SCADA systems, configuration and troubleshooting.
You possess knowledge of standards for designing software solutions and can collaborate with customers in designing the right solutions to meet their specific needs. You manage CE and EC declaration and can demonstrate an analytical approach to technical specifications. Preferably you have gained your experience from previous jobs within the renewables sector.
At a personal level you enjoy working in an informal culture where social ability to connect with colleagues is key and where proactivity and self-motivation are important ingredients for success. You take pride in the quality of your work and deliveries, and you are used to working within tight deadlines.
You are excited about the possibility to work in a company with a global outlook where you can make a difference regarding product quality and product cost efficiency. You have a ‘can do’ mindset
and thrive in an entrepreneurial atmosphere with innovative and bright colleagues. It is a requirement that you speak and write English fluently.
