Would you like to leverage our quantitative models to increase financial transparency of our business activities, and are you good at explaining complex concepts and understanding business needs? Join us and become Quantitative Analyst in Quantitative Analytics. We are the centre of excellence for quantitative analysis in the Group. We are part of the Finance organisation, and we work closely with negotiators, originators, portfolio managers and traders to deliver quantitative insights and quantitative solutions, while taking responsibility for methodologies and financial reporting content. We currently focus intensely on increasing the financial transparency of the ongoing business. You will play a key role in linking quantitative concepts to financial forecasting. The department is part of Customers & Markets which has 1,600 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. We handle the production from our wind farms and oil and gas fields to the energy exchanges and customers in Northern Europe, and we distribute electricity and natural gas to businesses and private customers in Denmark. You will be based at our office in Virum in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility In your daily work, you will have very frequent interaction with colleagues and stakeholders, and you will actively take part in the ongoing planning and prioritisation of activities. Your main responsibilities will be to operate our measurement system and take part in development activities in the department. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: •implement complex gas and power contracts in our measurement system •manage processes across Front Office, Finance and Risk Management •develop and document valuation principles •communicate results to stakeholders •perform ad hoc analyses of the contract portfolio. In connection with development projects, you will undertake scoping, planning and implementation in close collaboration with our stakeholders. Your projects will primarily focus on building front-end solutions for performance management in C#, VBA on top of our existing model landscape. Your profile You have a master’s degree in finance or economics, and, preferably, you have experience from the energy or financial sector. You are familiar with financial models and valuation principles, and you are used to working with large amounts of data. In addition, you have basic programming skills. You enjoy communicating complex quantitative matters in a simple way, and you are used to working closely with stakeholders and to run and manage projects. Furthermore, you are self-driven, systematic and a passionate team player.
