Are you an avid number cruncher who seeks to work in an innovative environment where you’ll have the possibility to make an impact and develop our trading business even further?   

Join us and become a Quantitative Analyst in Power Operations where you’ll be responsible for improving our trading results through data analysis. Our team is responsible for balancing the power generated by our renewable assets and third parties. You’ll be working closely together with the traders, as well as one other quantitative analyst.  

Your key tasks will be to 

• develop and maintain models and tools that support our asset-backed trading operations, such as price forecasting or dispatch optimisation 
• valuate power contracts that are already in place, identify their key value drivers and come up with suggestions on how they could be further optimised 
• design, implement and improve proprietary trading strategies 
• support in collecting and processing data that will be used as input for modelling and valuation. 

 Your competences include that you 

• hold a master’s degree in a highly numerical/quantitative field, such as engineering, mathematics or economics 
• have strong analytical capabilities and a flair for working with complex analytical challenges 
• are proficient in programming, preferably in R, experience in other programming languages such as Python, Matlab or C# will also be considered 
• have a general understanding of SQL 
• speak and write English fluently. 

You should be a good team-player, be able to communicate your results in simple terms, be structured and autonomous in your work. Knowledge of the UK or German short-term electricity market is an advantage.
