Would you like to build the quantitative machinery for our future business in the gas and power markets? Join us and become the new Quantitative Developer in Quantitative Analytics. You will be part of a department which is the centre of excellence for quantitative analysis in our organisation. You and your colleagues will be responsible for valuation of assets and transactions and for providing solutions for optimisation and management of the portfolio. Our core calculation engine is built in C++, and we use a variety of technologies, eg Oracle, C#, and Excel to put the right quantitative models and solutions in the hands of our stakeholders. Quantitative Analytics is part of Distribution & Customer Solutions which has 1500 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. We manage the production from our offshore wind farms and oil and gas fields, trade at European energy exchanges and wholesale markets, deliver energy and green solutions to customers in Northern Europe and are active in the international LNG market. You will be based at our office in Virum in the Greater Copenhagen area. Your key tasks will be to •take part in development project and to support and maintain existing systems and models •liaise with colleagues and stakeholders •actively take part in the ongoing planning and prioritisation of activities •run extensive data analysis tasks on gas and power market data •implement and refine underlying valuation, market and optimisation models for our gas and power portfolios •provide support to users and make sure that we have the right processes in place to ensure smooth operations •ensure that models and systems are up to date from both a business and an IT perspective. Your qualifications and core competences include that you •are able to communicate complex quantitative matters in a simple way •are a self-driven and passionate team player •are a quick learner •are able to work with big data sets and are familiar with databases eg Oracle •know one or more programming languages, preferably C#/C++ •know mathematical modelling topics such as stochastic differential equations, statistics, and optimisation methods •hold a master’s or PhD degree in a quantitative field such as economics, engineering or physics.
