Wind Service Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) is a headquarter function of Siemens Wind Power Service with responsibility for development of innovative service products and concepts. For our risk management and data analytics (RMDA) team we are looking for an analytical and data-savvy quantitative risk manager. The RMDA team is a small, highly specialized group with the responsibility to analyze various aspects of service product risks, including reliability engineering, advanced simulation, data analysis and visualization. The position offers great opportunities to get to know the business and to learn and grow as a specialist in the area of risk management, data analytics and programming. The team is characterized by a vibrant environment as well as strong team spirit and motivation. What are my responsibilities? · Develop and improve the quantitative risk assessment methodologies · Maintain and develop statistical model-based risk tools · Analyze fleet data to calibrate reliability models on particular WTG components · Provide business value insights from data analytics and visualization · Interface with design and service engineers to establish wind turbine component risk profiles · Prepare presentation materials for management and other stakeholders What do I need to qualify for this job? · You have a degree in statistics, mathematics, engineering or an equivalent field – and preferably you have industry experience · You are very strong analytically; preferably with a solid understanding of statistics and reliability modelling, e.g. Weibull reliability techniques · You thrive in an environment working with large data sets and diving right in · You have experience with statistical programming, e.g., in Matlab or R · You possess excellent English skills · Experience with SQL is an advantage In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
