About the department In Biopharm API Support I Gentofte we are 50 competent colleagues who provide support to the different API production processes within Novo Nordisk’s Biopharm portfolio consisting of haemophilia products, Norditropin® and GlucaGen®. Serving as a link between development and production places us close to all the exciting new and existing products in the Biopharm pipeline. Within raw materials we are the production’s “one point of entry”, and we function as a cross-organisational key driver in the company’s “raw material task force”. The job As Raw Material Chemist you will be a key player in the choice and use of the vital raw materials we use in the production. You will be working in close and constructive collaboration with the department’s specialists on raw materials, the product responsible and our pilot plant. You will contribute to the process development regarding choice of raw materials as well as the definition and optimisation of control strategies and risk evaluations for raw materials – while balancing business needs, compliance and economy. You will also be involved in ongoing improvement of storage and shipping conditions etc. and in the identification and implementation of relevant second suppliers; in cooperation with your colleagues in sourcing. Other tasks will e.g. be preparation of protocols and reports for stability studies and handling of the department’s specifications for outsourced raw materials, including justification of specification. Qualifications You have a M.Sc. in chemistry, biology, engineering, pharmacy or similar. You might have experience from the pharmaceutical industry, organic & protein chemistry, however more important is your motivation for working in the cross field of raw materials and modern production of high quality pharmaceuticals. You have a high level of energy to drive yourself and your colleagues forward in order to deliver on your deadlines and milestones. As a true team player you can contribute to the team’s common motivation with a positive, forthcoming attitude. You work well independently, although it you thrive in a role where success is based on close cooperation with colleagues and stakeholders across functions and departments.
