Description The R&D Director NPD (f/m) plays a significant role for the Radiometer organization. The successful candidate will lead a large team (70 employees) with focus on new instrument development. This includes a multitude of disciplines like hardware design, verification and validation, external innovation, life-cycle product management and global product development team just to mention a few. The R&D Director NPD will be expected to handle many, complex and sometimes competing challenges by keeping focus on the essential result; e.g., ensure on-time delivery of product development projects vs firefighting issues, improve external quality vs reduce cost, obtain flow in pipeline vs be agile for changes. The successful individual will be responsible for driving team engagement and retention as well as talent development. This opportunity will enable the successful candidate to lead New Product Development at a highly successful company and take it to the next level. With a team of experienced managers, the R&D Director NPD will be expected to build up best practices together with a strong talent bench. The job The R&D Director, New Product Development will be expected to: •Provide strategic and technical planning to successfully manage NPD quality, On Time Delivery (OTD ) and populating NPD pipeline •Recruit, retain and develop results driven R&D team and leaders •Ensure NPD goals and budget objectives are met through implementation of performance objectives programs, policies and key messages •Ensure alignment between various functions (Marketing, Operations, R&D) through communication and networking •Stay on top of megatrends influencing new product development of medical devices •Report status to various stakeholders in a timely and effective manner Qualifications "Constructive Diversity" is one of our core values, and we believe that human diversity creates a dynamic and creative environment.
