Would you like to work in a specialist role with great variation in assignments - and perhaps be the brains behind the next classic LEGO® Packaging that thrills children at first sight? Then come join our team to work with R&D within packaging materials! A mix of project and regular assignments Depending on your background, you will be a specialist and work in detail within a specific packaging material area in the R&D Packaging Engineering team of 8 highly skilled colleagues. Part of your time (approximately 40 %) will be spent in novelty projects to develop or reengineer packaging, whilst you will be tending to your regular assignments of innovating, preparing and maintaining material specifications, as well as handling external suppliers. As such, your responsibilities encompass: Leading innovation of current and future packaging materials Support the development, preparation and maintenance of packaging designs including technical specifications and construction drawings Maintaining and developing packaging material platforms to keep it aligned and optimal globally as well as ensuring the packaging meets quality requirements and other standards Supporting problem clarification when challenges in packaging material/construction occur Technical contact to packaging suppliers and participation in assessments of new suppliers Trusted to perform By trusting you to make decisions, do what is right and get things done to the highest possible quality, we will help you make the most of your skills and reach your potential. The position is based in Billund, Denmark. Solution oriented team player We are looking for someone who has or wants to further develop specialist competencies within packaging. Thus, you should be able to handle many different tasks, yet have a passion for quality and going into details. Simultaneously, you can keep calm, when issues happen and you always look for the best solution even in hectic situations. Being a team player at heart, you are able to cooperate at many levels and across borders. Your qualifications: You have a relevant education, probably as an Engineer, at minimum bachelor's level but preferably at master's level You are either an experienced specialist with a strong track record of successful implementations of technical projects or a self-driven newly educated MSc with high personal drive Solid business understanding and/or experience from the packaging industry (especially materials knowledge and process/production understanding within cardboard) are definite advantages Fluency in both written and spoken English Flexibility to travel approximately 20-35 days a year Join the global LEGO Family In the LEGO Group, we succeed together, and you will be part of a global family where you can use your creativity and enjoy a fun working environment across the LEGO Community.
