Digitalisation is one of the main drivers for change in banking. Customers benchmark their digital banking experience against those offered by other industries expecting accessibility, easiness and personalisation in their preferred channels. The other key driver is the increasing operational regulations, requiring granular data on customers and transactions and with higher requirements on storing, monitoring and reporting. To enable us to develop even more personalised and convenient services to our customers in the future we are simplifying all parts of the bank. We are building new core banking and payment platforms and a Group common data warehouse and by that significantly increase our agility, scale benefit and resilience. Nordea is a great bank creating great customer experiences. Simplification is about making banking easier for the customers and easier for us to deliver great customer experiences. The Simplification programme is well embedded in and across the organisation - all the way to the Chief Operation Officer Executive Management, the Group Executive Management and the Board Audit Committee. The Group is organised into four parts across the bank: Group Simplification Unit, which is a central unit, and three programmes delivering a platform each. The Simplification Programme, as well as each of the three platform programmes, have their own steering committee GSP Release Coordination is one of the initiatives within GSP and it enables the execution of masterplan by addressing key delivery risks. The current plan has 25 transition states. GSP Release Coordination will add value across 3 dimensions: Alignment ?Provide release alignment across GSP sub-programs ?Extend planning capabilities of sub-programs by providing consolidated views on inter-program release planning and associated challenges / conflicts ?Strong handshake with GSU (e.g. dependency management and escalation) Foresight ?Identify & facilitate addressing of medium-term obstacles not yet on RM’s agenda ?Early identification creates sufficient lead time to resolve cross-GSP dependencies, which could otherwise turn into showstoppers – thus avoiding significant delays ?Provide relevant input to sub-programs to refine release roadmap(s) Transparency & Guidance ?Develop release view of surrounding projects and impacted apps / users ?Increase transparency of change initiatives (incl. non-GSP), understand and manage impact on infrastructure / capacity (relevant for major releases) ?Oversee freeze periods, major roll-out dates, and post roll-out stabilization ?Provide standardized communication and escalation procedures The GSP release coordination provides transparency of parallel release activities, identifies major cross-program dependencies
