Electro-Mechanical Validation & Reliability is a part of Vestas Power Solutions in Vestas Wind Systems A/S. Our responsibility is to validate the design of electrical and mechanical systems and components used in Vestas' wind turbines.
We service the whole Vestas organisation with our specialised knowledge and extensive capabilities within environmental and power system testing. The department consists of nine skilled and ambitious test technicians and engineers and is located at the Vestas Power Solutions headquarters in Skejby, Aarhus.

Our activities continuously improve the performance and reliability of our turbines and enable them to produce more clean energy with fewer service intervals, thus creating more value for our customers.

Responsibilities
In this position, you will be working with new innovative turbine technology on a daily basis. You will be responsible for specific systems within the turbine and ensure efficient execution of verification activities according to Vestas processes.
Your technical knowledge will ensure the quality of our verification activities and you will establish, develop and maintain contacts across Vestas, which requires you to be outgoing and pro-active. You are able to handle several projects simultaneously and in different phases.

Specifically, your tasks will comprise of:

• Lead the development of test standards and processes
• Scoping, specifying and delegating test activities to deliver on project objectives
• Specify and ensure test facilities and setups to simulate in-field conditions
• Supporting on-going tests in the laboratories and at 3rd parties ensuring the highest quality and execution as planned
• Analysing test results and proposal for design changes and improvements

Qualifications
As a minimum you hold a bachelor's degree in engineering, preferable within the electrical or wind power area. You may have gained your experience through a position as research assistant at a university or working with products that meet the standards of military, process/food, or electronics industry customers.
We will prefer candidates, who posses:

• Experience in Reliability Engineering
• Experience with interpretation of test standards and certifications
• Experience with data acquisition and analysis
• Knowledge about power electronics

Additional information
Primary work location will be Aarhus, Denmark. The position requires approx. 10-15 days of traveling per year.
