The Office of Research and Innovation at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen, is looking to recruit a full time research advisor.

About the Office of Research and Innovation
The Office of Research and Innovation is a well-functioning and productive office with 30 employees. The position is based in the research support section, which currently employs 11 people.

We work closely with the Faculty management, departments and with individual researchers on matters relating to research funding and research administration. We value being known as a service-oriented, efficient and competent administration.

Your tasks

• Support researchers and management on funding opportunities based on an analysis of applicants’ CV, publications and academic potential, as well as funders’ eligibility criteria, for example working with large collaborative grants under Horizon 2020 Societal Challenges and Innovation Fund Denmark
• Working with strategic issues around funding applications including budgeting (including indirect costing) and advising researchers on how to frame the impact of their research
• Supporting management in research administration issues such as open access, publication strategies, data management, research infrastructure and public consultations through writing memos, reports, analyses, minutes from meetings and producing graphic illustrations
• Plan, organize and deliver presentations at events and seminars concerning grant writing

Key skills and competences

• You have a solid background within health or natural sciences preferably with postdoc experience and/or with experience in research administration. Experience with fundraising and grant writing in research is a plus
• You can demonstrate good coordination, planning and organisational skills and are able to develop, plan, and implement goals to meet tight deadlines under time pressure
• Documented ability to write and communicate in a clear, concise and engaging way for a variety of target audiences with a high level of accuracy in Danish and English
• You have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues on all levels within and outside the organisation
• You are prepared to learn and work with new areas of research administration and in a team

Salary and terms of employment
The terms of appointment and payment are in accordance with the collective agreement between The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations and the Danish Ministry of Finance. Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.

This is a fulltime position. The position is expected to be filled at the level of Special Advisor (specialkonsulent). Commencement as soon as possible and at the latest by 1st May 2019.
