The Center of Electric Power and Energy (CEE) at DTU Electrical Engineering seeks a research assistant for supporting research and development of our experimental facilities within active distribution grids. The position is time limited to 6 months and for a weekly working load of 15 hours. Distribution systems are facing new challenges as the penetration of fluctuating renewable energy sources such as Photovoltaics (PV) and new electrical demand such as Electric Vehicles (EV) are increasing in these systems. Several activities at CEE address these challenges and we have extensive experimental facilities, which support the research and education. Responsibililties and tasks We expect you to develop experimental setup for control strategies for active distribution grids with high PV and EV penetration. Active management of PV inverters as well as EV smart charging methods are to be developed and tested. Qualifications Candidates should have an MSc in engineering or equivalent. Required qualifications: Knowledge about low voltage grid operation and analysis. Laboratory experience with PV inverters and/or EV chargers.
