Applications are invited for a position as research assistant in applied probability at DTU Compute in the section of statistics. DTU Compute comprises research, teaching, consultancy and innovation activities in mathematics, statistics, and computer science. Responsibilities and tasks The research assistant will work closely with other project staff and collaborators at DTU Compute and University of Copenhagen on projects targeting the application of Matrix–exponential methods in finance, risk and queueing theory. The position involves a certain amount of teaching in the form of supervision of in-class work by students and other teaching duties. Qualifications Candidates should have a master’s degree in engineering or equivalent. Moreover, candidates should possess excellent skills in theoretical probability, experience with teaching assistance, and good collaborative skills.
