. Research Scientist . Denmark - Måløv Team Protein Characterization, Biopharm is seeking an experienced protein scientist with a strong background within biophysics to drive and support our work on development of protein-based biopharmaceuticals. Team Protein Characterization, Biopharm is part of the department CMC Analytical Support. About the department CMC Analytical Support is part of CMC Drug Product Development, based in modern facilities in Måløv. The department consists of five teams, and is responsible for analysis and characterization of proteins, peptides, raw materials and extractables and leachables. In team Protein Characterization, Biopharm you will be responsible for biophysical characterization and analysis of structures and impurities in products for haemophilia, inflamation and growth hormone therapy. The job You will be part of a highly dedicated team with strong expertise and equipped with state of the art equipment. It will be your responsibility to design, plan and perform biophysical characterization to support development projects and ad hoc problem solving tasks. Biophysical methods used include Surface Plasmon Resonance, SLS, DLS, CD, CG MALS, MFI, Micro Calorimetry, Fluorescens and Viscosity methods. Active interaction with internal stakeholders covering all aspects of CMC drug development including QA, RA, Research Units and Product Supply is critical. You will collaborate with other research scientists, laboratory technicians and project coordinators, and design, interpret and report experiments - hereby generating pharmaceutical documentation for internal and external use. Qualifications The successful candidate has at least 5 years of experience in applying biophysical and analytical methods for characterisation of proteins. You should be qualified at the ph.d. level. Practical experience with Surface Plasmon Resonance and Light Scattering methods is an advantage. Previous experience from the pharmaceutical industry and knowledge of pharmaceutical development processes is also an advantage.
