- Research Scientist - Denmark - Måløv A temporary Research Scientist position (14 months; beginning December 1st) is open for employment in the Department of GLP-1 and Obesity Pharmacology – PK/PD. The candidate we are seeking is a qualified and motivated Research Scientist with experience in in vivo Pharmacology, including Pharmacokinetics (PK). About the department The GLP-1 and Obesity Pharmacology – PK/PD department is organised within Global Research in Måløv, Denmark. In the department we are 8 scientists, 17 technicians, one postdoc and 2 PhD students, and we are responsible for performing pharmacology studies with peptide compounds in the discovery phase. The department is organised in two teams: “GLP-1 and Delivery” and “Obesity and Diabetes”, with this position placed in the former. The job You will be responsible for planning, conducting, analysing data and reporting non-clinical PK and PD studies, mainly in dogs and pigs. You will participate in cross-functional project teams with colleagues from many different scientific backgrounds. It is furthermore expected that you actively take part in development and optimization of the models and methods we use. You will be encouraged to maintain old and establish new contacts to external collaborators. As scientist in the department, you will refer directly to the Team Leader, and your main internal contacts in your daily work will be scientist colleagues, technicians and project members, as well as managers in Novo Nordisk Global Research. Qualifications You hold a degree in Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Biology, Medicine, Veterinary medicine or a related area, and have a PhD degree or equivalent work experience. You have solid knowledge of and hands-on experience with in vivo pharmacology studies. It will be an advantage if you have experience from the pharmaceutical industry performing in vivo pharmacology studies in dogs and/or pigs (including PK studies), and if you have knowledge within the area of diabetes, obesity, and diabetic complications. You are flexible, ambitious, result oriented and have a good sense of humour. You are good at communicating and at working in teams. You are fluent in English.
