The optofluidics group at DTU Nanotech is seeking a research scientist in experimental nanophotonics and optical metasurfaces for optofluidic technology. DTU Nanotech is a department at DTU, dedicated to conduct research, education and innovation within micro- and nanotechnology at the highest international level. Responsibilities and tasks The research scientist will work on experimental nanophotonics and optical metasurfaces for optical sensing and actuation in optofluidic systems related to the research programmes of the optofludics group at DTU Nanotech. This research includes structural color metasurfaces, themo-plasmonics, plasmonic lithography and imaging, delivery of advanced light patterns for fluorescence excitation and optical trapping/stretching via integration of optical elements in plastic components. Functional devices and components are realized by conventional research and production grade methods as well as by novel exploratory methods. The successful candidate will contribute to the teaching at the department. You will contribute to the internal collaboration at the department, and external collaboration with industrial and academic partners in the framework of the National and European projects HemoPoC (Innovation Fund Denmark), ChromaVision (EC H2020 FET-OPEN) and IZADI (EC H2020 NMPB FoF). Qualifications The successful candidate has a PhD in experimental physics with expertise in the field of nanofabrication and with solid experience in experimental studies of plasmons and optical metasurfaces.
