Research Scientist on CFD Combustion Modelling and Experimental Flame Studies

DTU Chemical Engineering invites applications for a two-year research scientist position on CFD combustion modelling and experimental flame studies as part of the INNO+-project: Marine burners.

In the project novel marine burner designs will be developed in collaboration with the company Alfa Laval. It is the project objective to conduct research that supports the development of a cost effective, fuel flexible burner with low emissions.

Candidates need to document capability in performing CFD burner modelling and combustion experiments and must be willing to work at different locations during the project.

Qualifications Candidates should have a PhD degree or equivalent.

Assessment In the assessment of the candidates consideration will be given to •scientific production and research potential at international level •innovative skills and the ability to generate new ideas •the ability to communicate at all levels such as the provision of scientific advice to public sector authorities •an all-round experience basis, preferably including international experience •the ability to contribute to development of the department’s internal and external cooperation

Salary and terms of employment The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed with the relevant union. The period of employment is 2 year. Expected start date: April 1, 2015.
