Risk and Internal Control Specialist

We are looking for a Risk and Internal Control Specialist for our Risk and Internal Control (RIC) department. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the RIC program at SGRE A/S, where you will reporting to the Regional RIC Manager (RRM).

About the role

As a Risk and Internal Control Specialist you will be supporting the local RRM by working with Internal Control Owners, managers and respective function heads with the aim of planning and mobilizing all internal control, including internal control over financial reporting (ICFR) set up activities, assessment, remediation, and reporting activities for SGRE businesses in the country/region. You will be communicating with internal Control Requirement Contacts and a wider group of SGRE stakeholders. You will be supporting the coordination of the local Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) process for collation and evaluation of risks for the respective businesses in country/region as required. 

You will be identifying and training Control Requirement Contacts within the country/region for/on entity’s specific activities and key controls. This includes identifying and training independent assessors, providing guidance/support to assessors to help document deficiencies, verifying the quality of deficiency documentation, appropriate prioritization and reviewing the quality of selected assessments. You will be helping with identifying remediation activities and propose remediation actions, produce regular progress reports and monitor status of remediation activities. As well as you will be regularly discussing current RIC topics, status and performance with the local RRM and supporting the RRM in evaluating and reporting of deficiencies. 

You will work with RRM to support the implementation of the RIC Integration Charter, to align the framework of internal control over financial reporting assurance for SGRE A/S to fulfill mandated governance requirements. You will undertake various ad hoc assignments or projects as requested by the global SGRE Corporate Governance and Control team and/or the RRMs.

About you

• You have a Master’s degree in accounting, auditing, finance or similar
• You hold 2-3 years of professional experience within finance and/or Big 4 audit experience with preferably experience in internal control and COSO frameworks
• International experience will be perceived as an advantage
• You are fluent in English both orally and in writing
